Langham Ægir

The launch of Langham Brewery’s new beer, Ægir, takes place at this weekend’s Twickenham Beer Fest. This traditional, smooth, rich, malty, sweet, smouldering smoked Baltic Porter is named after the God of the ocean and King of the sea creatures, in Norse mythology.

A delicious dark beer with a tan head, it beautifully balances hop with caramel and liquorice malt flavours.

Ægir was also known for hosting elaborate parties for the Gods where he provided ale brewed in an enormous pot or cauldron.

His assistant brewers, the “Wave Maidens”, are his nine winsome daughters! Our ale is no myth!
